Who is eligible for off campus library database access?

Currently-registered students and currently-employed faculty and staff are eligible to use lbrary databases. Users must validate that they are a QCC student, faculty or staff member in order to have access to these resources. These databases are free to QCC community members and are available 24/7.

How do I get a barcode for off campus library database access?

Students: QCC registration should automatically enter your student ID number into our user database on the first day of classes. If you register late you will need to stop by the Circulation desk on the second floor of the Harrington Learning Center to be entered into our user database and receive a library barcode.

Students in online classes, you can register for a barcode through an online form after you log into your course. Barcodes are emailed to your qmail address and also mailed to your home address.

Barcodes are not issued over the phone. Please call the Circulation Desk at (508)854-4581 with questions.

Faculty and Staff: you will need to stop by the Circulation Desk if you have not registered recently. Your library barcode expires each year in at the beginning of September.

If you experience any difficulty connecting to these databases, please contact the Reference Desk at (508) 854-4366.

Messages you may see:

“Your library card has expired.” Call the circulation desk (508) 854-4581 to check your status.

“Your Library barcode, student ID number or last name was entered incorrectly. Please try again.”

Barcode: Be sure that you have entered your barcode with all 14 numbers—no spaces.

Last Name: If you have a last name that is hyphenated, has an apostrophe, or is more than one word, call the circulation desk and ask them to check that your last name is entered correctly.
